# Categories

> Organize your blog posts by category.

### How to create a category?

Go to **Dashboard > Content Management > Blog > Categories > Add New**. You can add a blog category by providing the following information:

* **Title:** The name of the category.

### How to assign a category to a blog post?

Go to **Dashboard > Content Management > Blog > Posts**. Click on the post you want to assign a category to. In the post editor, you can assign a category by selecting it from the **Category** section.
